Purpose of the Job

Administration and Operational responsibilities of Kingfisher Airlines Network and Network Security Systems.

 

Job Description

• Implement and Administer LAN / WAN, Security Systems and maintain the SLA for the Network Infrastructure company-wide.
• Troubleshoot Network Infrastructure and Security Systems to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
• Investigate Network / Firewall problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
• Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
• Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
• Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
• Document network problems and resolution.

 

Candidate Profile -

  Educational Qualifications
• Graduate in Engineering / Science / Computers or Equivalent
• Certifications in Networking such as CCNA, CCNP or Equivalent
  Experience
• A minimum of 8 Years in designing, managing and administering networks out of which last 3 years in a role of managing large LAN and WAN.
• Airline Experience is an advantage.
  Skills / Expertise
• Excellent knowledge and configuration skills in Networking Equipments, Network operating systems, Implementing LAN, WAN.
• Excellent knowledge and configuration skills in Security solutions including multi-vendor Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Solutions, Anti-Virus etc.
• Good knowledge on Storage and Backup Infrastructure.
• Good Knowledge on Operating Systems – Windows 2003, Windows XP/Vista /  Linux.
• Good Knowledge on leading Network Management Solutions.
