Kingfisher Airlines Launches the Kingfisher First Polo Team       

Innovative brand extension to target premium end of the market

28 October, 2006, Delhi - Kingfisher Airlines, India`s fastest growing airline and the winner of several awards and accolades today announced the launch of the Kingfisher First Polo Team. The announcement was made by Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman and CEO, Kingfisher Airlines Limited at a press conference held in Jaipur Polo Grounds, Delhi during the Sixt Samaira Polo Cup.

Kingfisher Airlines has signed up well known names like Major Ahidraj Singh, Sunjay Kapur, Basheer Ali, Vishal Singh and a few other international Polo players for this Polo season. The audience will get to see some great action as the Kingfisher First Polo team begins its quest for glory.

In true Kingfisher style, Dr. Vijay Mallya, unveiled the Kingfisher First Polo Team and the logo to the audience present at the Jaipur Polo grounds. The Logo was specially designed in keeping with the Kingfisher First imagery and the nature of the sport.
